Position Description

Direct Support Professionals at our Dayhab Program teach and reinforce skills in the areas of Independent Living, Personal Care, Vocational, Dining, Socialization and Community Membership. They provide enriching quality experiences that promote wellness and individualized support for individuals who attend Brunswick Center Services. These duties are performed in a manner that is in accordance with The Arc’s Strategic Plan.

Salary: $17.49 per hour

Full Time: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (mandatory OT w/ start time of 7am and end time of 5pm up to 3 times per week to assist with van transportation)

Requirements:
A HS Diploma or GED
Valid NYS Driver's License with at least one year of non-permit driving experience.
Must have reliable transportation as location is not on a busline.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable giving individuals direct care including assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
