Behavior Intervention Specialist II

Position Description
This position works with individuals, support teams and a psychologist to assess, diagnose and treat behaviors that interfere with intellectual, social and emotional development and the development of a valued social role. This role will be expected to carry out all duties in alignment with agency values, and in accordance with Part 633.16 of the OPWDD operating standards. Candidates must have a valid NYS Driver's License with at least 1 year of driving experience with that license.

Minimum Requirements:

To qualify as a Behavior Intervention Specialist II, candidates must have a Master’s Degree in psychology or related field and board certification in behavior analysis. Alternatively, substitution of a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with at least one year of experience in behavior support role may be allow if the candidate is working toward a graduate degree in a related field or has completed a graduate level course in psychology or related field.
